The property market around Marlborough has many micro markets. House prices within the town can vary dramatically from one road to another, from one side of the road to another and vary wildly depending on closeness to the High Street, peace and quiet and availability of parking. If a property comes on to the market that is close to the High Street, quiet and with parking, the price can be quite high compared to a house half a mile away, on a road and with restricted parking.
The market in the villages around the town is equally interesting, with some villages being very popular, especially if they offer pubs, good schools, views, walks, good communities, peace and quiet, shops, doctors etc, whereas other areas only a few miles distant can offer better value - especially if proximity to some of these things is not as important.
As such, determining what you need from a property and having a list of essential things followed by a wish list of non essential but ideal features can be of great assistance in finding the best property that may suit you. If you are moving to the area and need assistance in finding your next home then speak to all the agents in your search area with your essentials/wish list in mind.
