Continuing our write ups of the many varied villages and areas that we are lucky enough to serve, the village of Milton Lilbourne has been popular for many years as it offers a great mixture of property sizes and ages from smaller houses of all ages up to the Manor.
Around the village there are also several small pretty hamlets such as Littleworth and Clench to the north and Little Salisbury to the West. The village road heads south off the Burbage-Pewsey road with pretty houses either side, passing the village hall and recreation ground and then St. Peter's church, which features an engraved window by Laurence Whistler. To the end of the village the road peters out to a farm track and there are plenty of walks to enjoy from the village itself.
The nearest facilities are provided by Lawn Farm Shop, which is a walk down Havering Lane or can also be reached from the main road - always friendly service whether for a bottle of milk or a treat between viewings (!). The Bruce Arms is the nearest pub, a traditional old fashioned pub, while there are further facilities in Pewsey, Burbage or Marlborough just a short drive away.
Milton Lilbourne has always been popular with local buyers in particular who are looking for the proximity to Pewsey and its railway station. Those who are coming to the area that haven't been to the village before are always stunned by its beauty. It is a village in which we are proud to have sold many houses over the last twenty plus years that we have worked in the area.
Pictured is Clover Cottage, a barn conversion situated towards the end of the village and which benefits from a south facing garden - recently sale agreed off market.
